In brief

RYTHM is a studio dedicated to the Lagree method, located in Toulouse, in the Carmes district, inside JBM Sports, 32 rue du Languedoc. Each class lasts 50 minutes and takes six people at most, one per Micro Pro machine: the coach corrects every position and stays with you throughout the class. The studio has been open since Monday 14 September 2026. The trial class costs €30, with no commitment. Booking is done in the Xplor Active app, with the studio code Rythmlagree, or online from this site. The coach speaks English and can run the class in English: you do not need any French to train here.

The method

The Lagree method: rhythm, precision and control

The Lagree method is not just another workout. It is a demanding discipline that delivers continuous, deep and extremely effective muscle stimulation. Through a slow, controlled "RYTHM", it works the muscles through their full range of motion, improves mobility, builds flexibility and helps reduce the risk of injury.

Pillar 1 of 4

Rhythm

The Lagree method is practised on a variable-resistance machine designed specifically for this discipline. Unlike classic cardio workouts, it imposes a slow, continuous rhythm: every movement is performed smoothly, with no rest between exercises. This apparent slowness is exactly what makes the class so intense: the muscle stays engaged the whole time, never getting the slightest release. It is this uninterrupted flow, combined with the machine's variable resistance, that turns a 40 to 50-minute session into a real physical challenge, as demanding as a full workout, without ever putting any shock through the joints.

Pillar 2 of 4

Contraction

Here, every repetition aims for maximum, sustained muscle contraction. The goal is neither speed nor the number of repetitions, but the intensity of the effort at every moment. The muscle is held under prolonged tension, which builds deep strength, muscular endurance and a visibly reshaped body in a short time.

Pillar 3 of 4

Precision

Every movement is precise to the millimetre. The Lagree method demands exact execution, where body alignment, joint angles and the path of the movement are scrupulously respected. This precision is no detail: it is what lets you target the right muscle, avoid compensations and get the most out of every exercise, while reducing the risk of injury.

Pillar 4 of 4

Control

Control of the breath, the core and the posture, but also of the mind, fully focused on the movement in progress. This constant control makes every exercise as much a matter of concentration as of strength, where body and mind become one. At RYTHM, you will leave more athletic than ever, with a clear head.

Lagree, a complete method

By combining a slow rhythm, intense contraction, precise execution and constant control, the Lagree method offers a complete workout that sculpts the body deeply while developing stability, posture and body awareness. A demanding approach, but a remarkably effective one.

How is it different from Pilates?

The main difference between Pilates and the Lagree method lies in how muscle tension is managed. Pilates favours control and quality of movement, alternating phases of contraction and release. The Lagree method keeps the muscles under near-constant tension, through a slow rhythm and a sequence of concentric, eccentric and isometric contractions. The results, both aesthetic and muscular, are markedly more pronounced.

Frequently asked questions

What we get asked most

What exactly is Lagree?

Lagree is a strength-training method practised on a variable-resistance machine. The movements are slow and continuous, under constant tension, which takes the muscle to fatigue without ever putting impact on the joints. A class combines strength, endurance, balance and cardiovascular work.

How long is a class, and how many people?

A class lasts 50 minutes. It takes six people at most, one per Micro Pro machine: the coach corrects every position, one by one.

Do I need to be sporty to start?

No. The resistance is set machine by machine, so the same class can be followed by a beginner and by an experienced athlete. The small group lets the coach correct each position individually. The €30 trial class exists precisely so you can try with no commitment.

How many classes before I see results?

Most people feel a difference in strength and posture after five to ten classes, at two classes a week. Visible changes usually come between the second and third month of regular practice.

Where is the studio and how do I get there?

RYTHM Lagree Studio is located at JBM Sports, 32 rue du Languedoc, 31000 Toulouse, in the Carmes district, 100 metres from Carmes metro station.

What should I bring for my first class?

Sportswear and grip socks, essential on the Micro Pro. The studio provides them if you do not have any. Plan to arrive ten minutes early to get set up on the machine.
