How many times a week should you do Lagree?
A Lagree class lasts 50 minutes and works the whole body under continuous tension. The question is how often to come to progress without wearing yourself out. Here is what the studio coach recommends, how to organise your week, and which pack suits each pace, from your very first class onwards.
Two classes a week: the recommended pace
The RYTHM coach recommends two classes a week. It is not a random figure: it is the pace on which the studio’s progress landmarks are built. The article on results details these landmarks, class after class.
Two classes is a balance. The body gets enough stimulus to keep, from one class to the next, what it has learned: the positions, the footing on the carriage, the core work. And it has the time it needs to recover, since the method takes the muscle to fatigue in a gradual, controlled way.
Two 50-minute classes is less than two hours of training in the week: a pace you can keep over time, even with a busy schedule. It is this consistency, week after week, that makes the difference, far more than the intensity of one isolated week followed by a long break.
Is one class a week enough?
One class a week already brings progress, just more slowly than the studio’s landmarks. It is a good starting point if your schedule is busy, or if you are getting back into exercise and prefer to take it step by step: starting without being sporty explains how.
The key, in that case, is regularity. One fixed class every week teaches the body more than two classes one day and then nothing for three weeks. If you can only come once, treat that slot as an important appointment. At that pace, the monthly membership or the 5-class pack, €165, valid 2 months, are the simplest options. Either way, what counts is coming back week after week.
Three classes or more: check with the coach
Coming more often is not forbidden, but it is not the pace the studio recommends by default. Lagree works the muscle deeply, with no rest between exercises: recovery is part of progress.
If you want to come three times or more, talk to the coach. He knows your level, sees how you recover from one class to the next, and can adapt the machine’s resistance accordingly. If you have a medical condition, a recent injury or are pregnant, ask a health professional first.
If you already do another sport, running, weight training or a team sport, two Lagree classes fit well into an active week: they work core, stability and muscular endurance, with no impact on the joints. The Lagree or weight training article explains how to combine the two. Then think about recovery across all your training, not just your Lagree classes.
How to organise your two classes
Classes run from Monday to Saturday, mostly at lunchtime and in the evening on weekdays, and on Saturday morning. The full schedule is on the home page, and it changes with demand.
- Space your two classes two or three days apart, for example one early in the week and one at the end, to recover in between.
- Choose slots you can keep every week: regularity matters more than the day.
- If you do another sport, avoid placing a Lagree class just before an intense effort on the same muscles.
- Book ahead: six people at most per class, one per Micro Pro machine.
Which pack for which pace
The pace you choose points to the pack. For two classes a week, class packs suit best: the 10-class pack, €305, valid 3 months, covers five weeks at that pace; the 20-class pack, €560, valid 7 months, covers ten.
For one class a week, the monthly membership is designed for that pace. Class packs commit you to nothing, the membership does: all the details are in the Prices section of the home page.
Getting started in Carmes
Before choosing a pace, the simplest thing is to try. The trial class costs €30, with no commitment. RYTHM Lagree Studio runs its Lagree classes in Toulouse at JBM Sports, 32 rue du Languedoc, 100 metres from Carmes metro station, in 50-minute classes, and they can be taught in English on request.
At the end of your first class, ask the coach which pace he recommends for you: he will have seen you at work on the machine.
Frequently asked questions
Can I do Lagree every day?
It is not the pace the studio recommends, which is two classes a week. The muscle works deeply and recovery is part of progress. If you want to come more often, talk to the coach.
Do I need a rest day between two Lagree classes?
In general, it is better to space your two weekly classes two or three days apart, to recover in between. If in doubt, ask the coach.
Which pack should I choose for two classes a week?
Class packs suit that pace best, with no commitment. The monthly membership corresponds to one class a week.
